Spider 2.0
I thought Spider 1.0 was interesting enough , particularly as it was chomping on a fly. But Spider 2.0 is just gorgeous. I think it might be a Green Orb Weaver Spider from a quick google. It sat very still on a bramble leaf web in the sunshine while I faffed about with settings and focussing. In the end I used my tripod as a monopod to get a bit more stability . There was a fab spider shadow on the leaf but the spider was not as detailed in those shots as this one. An ant wandered on to the leaf at one point and I stood with baited breath waiting to see if it would be caught in the web. It wasn't. I felt guilty for feeling disappointed.
We had a great day shopping for Glastonbury . Babywipes - check Tissues - Check - Tickets - Check - Wellies - check. Sunscreen - yes sunscreen! Hope it doesn't junx the weather. Will not be seeing the Stones, but looking forward to Lucinda Williams on SUnday night who will surely be amazing.
