NGUHA Jarl Squad 2024

A cold day, but dry, no more snow but it hasn't thawed much either.  A cold wind all day.

Up at 5am, early shift in the airport.  I started on the check-in desk, then moved to meeting and boarding flights.  I finished early, and popped by Laura's on my way home, mam was along too.  Walkies with Sammy before tea.  Picked up friend Julie, and we headed to another Up Helly Aa.  Off to bed early again. 

Up Helly Aa season is in full swing now, there will be many more over the next few weeks.  Today guizer Jarl, Scott Hatrick and his merry men have taken over their local parishes.  The Vikings look good, but very bulky, and a strange hoodie instead of the usual helmet.  They'll certainly be warm on this chilly day.  Some of the Jarl Squad members, Nesting and Girlsta UHA, South Nesting.
