Pie, please.

Today Lili made pie. One of the first things she asked to do, during her visit here, was to make pie. Of course I said, "OK."

I taught Lili pie making skills about two years ago and she has been making pie on her own ever since, which means she started making pie at about 8. Her crust turns out so good. The fillings are great no matter what the choice. We have four wonderful clumps of rhubarb in the yard, and everyone here loves rhubarb pie, so her pie of choice today was rhubarb.

I had not thought what my blip would be today but when I saw Lili making pie, I knew she and her pie were it. And Lili's rhubarb pie with ice cream, after a walk on the beach this evening, was our perfect way to end our day. Pass the pie, please.
