Filter coffee, Costa Rican style

And in the background the currently redundant cafetiere. 

There were many of these filter coffee makers in the tourist shops - this was definitely one of the nicest.  We were told the cloth filters generally last about six months - we bought spare, and when one becomes unserviceable I'll have to see if I can reuse the wire to make more.

Also using Costa Rican beans at the moment bought from the coffee grower we visited.

It's been a damp and grey day.  I've spent most of the day stitching in the lounge.
