Awaiting guests

I was up early to make the bread before going down to play some tennis in preparation for tomorrow's match. I have to redo some safeguarding training which comes around every three years. It seems to get more and more onerous and a lot of it seems to be a sledgehammer to crack a nut, especially as we are not involved with any children or vulnerable people. There are two two hour Zoom courses with study and preparatory questions to answer and post course evaluations to complete. I know it is important but it is a lot to ask of people who give freely of their time. This afternoon I read some more of my book. The plot is quite complicated and as I have been reading it in small chunks, I am finding it difficult to follow all the twists and turns.
