A day for paint and
other artsy adventures! 
We really had fun!!

Today, at 10 AM our Paint In Day began at a building in the Yuma Fairgrounds. The Mountain Shadows Artists Association has this a a highlight of the snowbirds season. Members give classes to other members and lunch is brought in midday. We were treated to a wide variety of art classes today - watercolor, acrylic painting, pastel painting, abstract art, painting on glass, textiles....I found the day exciting and exhausting! 

The Yuma Fairgrounds are being revamped with improvements to infrastructure. The grounds have been torn up, the asphalt has been removed, equipment and puddles and holes are everywhere. It will be wonderful when it is completed, but for the time being, it is a little unsettling. 

I managed to get a few shots of some of the groups with their finished products. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. We feel very lucky to have so many talented people willing to teach a class to the members. 

I came home about 3 PM to collapse in my recliner!
