Planted for the future

A favourite tree on a favourite run, near Gurnal Dubs.  This mature rowan managed to establish itself in the crack in a large boulder, protected from sheep grazing; hopefully in a few years time it will be just one tree amongst a mix of saplings, with no grazing and a host of wildlife.
