Fife on fire

Not a volcano, not Mount Doom, nor nuclear Armageddon (as I feared when it first opened back in the 80s - they were tense times before Reykjavik!) This is the burn off from Mossmoran. Situated by Cowdenbeath, with a population of 14,000 people. Although impressive, I cannot begin to imagine what it must be like to live beside something as awful as this. The flame you can see from 20+ miles.
