Castle Semple Loch swan
The second of the Semple Trail walks completed in glorious sunshine that had a touch of warmth about it. For the first time this year I felt spring might be round the corner. A smaller group than Saturday and a similar mix of new faces and familiar ones. One of the walkers was a historian, thankfully her area of expertise didn’t quite coincide with the story of the Castle Semple Estate so I was able to get by with my limited intel, and here and there improvisation. She accepted my offer to jointly lead a Mary Queen of Scots Trail around Glasgow, with an exponentially growing membership we badly need more walk leaders, so I was delighted.
I am now feeling very sleepy, the central heating has kicked in and after I’ve eaten I will be having an early night.
