Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park Virginia
Since we decided to travel the inland route in an effort to find nicer weather Gram and I decided that we would spend today traveling the entire skyline drive. Much more interesting than 95!
Really lucked out and had our first nice day with great views of the mountains.
Here is a shot of the car taking us all this way, my Intrepid.
Took lots of photos again today, how can you not with views that good.
Really enjoyed driving with the windows down, listening to the bird songs and breathing that fresh mountain air.
The drive was very nice, not at all crowded.
Ate lunch along the way, saw lots of deer, and just really enjoyed ourselves.
I had to laugh at myself while stopping at so many of the pull-offs to take pictures...remembering doing this drive while I was younger with my parents and after quite a few stops not even bothering to get out of the car anymore...telling my mom that once you had seen one tree covered hill you had seen them all. Definitely didn't have that perspective this time around :)
