Gathering

The gull gathering was the largest I’ve seen it this winter, I’d estimate 750 to1000 birds (extra). Mainly Black-headed but there are usually a few Common and others in there if you take the time to scan.

Later, I headed over to Guiseley for a West Riding County Cup quarter-final, with Ossett United the visitors. Both sides seemed to put out strong teams. Guiseley took an early lead but were unable to extend it, leaving the opportunity for Ossett to equalise near the end. 1-1 at full-time, and then straight to penalties with Guiseley edging the shoot-out 7-6.
