2024 Tuesday — View from the Side Yard

I’m not sure that I have ever posted a photo here that’s looking into the empty lot next door from our side yard. The lot is fabulous green with all the wild vegetation (weeds). The lot is owned by the people who sold us this house.

When we bought this house the lot next door was also for sale by the same people. They wanted as much for the lot as they wanted for the property with our house.

I could see no reason to buy it. We did not plan to build and I did not want to pay property tax on a lot that we were not using and it would become another responsibility of ours.

The owners of the lot took that property off the market when we bought this house and they have never again in the past 11 years that we’ve owned this house put that lot back on the market.

Today it is very green.
