22nd Birthday Celebration

A very poor photo taken on the eve of the 22nd anniversary of independence.

Slovenia could be like Switzerland, completely self-sufficient and rich. Unfortunately, the remnants of the communist past coupled with rampant corruption of present day leaders has pushed the country into a downward spiral towards doom. It breaks my heart just thinking about it.

Having a great time here nonetheless. This is my home country after all.
