Street singer
Sally and I went into town today and spent a couple of hours in our favourite travel agent. Result: we booked a rather special holiday to Australia later this year to celebrate a special birthday. Looks exciting.
Walking around town afterwards feeling exhilarated, we were serenade by this street singer who actually had a good voice. The singer is being carefully watched over by John Batchelor, a Victorian businessman and Liberal politician who clashed with the powerful Tory Bute family who had a major influence on the development of Cardiff and its port. He is celebrated today as a passionate campaigner for the abolition of slavery.
