What's all the commotion about???

When we moved in earlier this month, we found that we weren't the only ones calling this place home. A pigeon had made her nest right outside our window.

Some friends came over for the first time for dinner and a swim. Wanting to give them the complete apartment tour (and completely forgetting about our neighbors on the windowsill), I threw open the window and said, "Here's the pool." As we looked down to the pool, Momma bird, flew away. The noise and commotion was just too much.

Looking down, I noticed one egg had hatched. With that news, we all had to stick our heads out the window to see the newborn. Momma bird dutifully hovered on the neighbor's balcony, waiting for us to give enough space so she could get back to protecting her children.
