New flowers

These seem to suddenly appear overnight and add some nice colour to the late summer garden. 

This morning I watched some TV programs I have missed recently. I’ve hardly watched anything for months. There is a 3 part documentary (Nemesis) about our last 3 Prime Ministers with interviews from others in their party. Wow, did they all hate each other. Unfortunately they seem to be there for their egos and not for the good of our country. I’m amazed. While I was watching I even picked up my crocheting. Haven’t done any since last year.

With that and all my daily exercises I am now tired and resting (with an ice pack). The kids came after school. Leo walked from his new high school. It is 5 blocks away. I was hoping he wouldn’t get lost. He seems so grown up suddenly.

Thanks to all those who offered to send us rain. It arrived during the night and we had over 60mm (2.5 inches). It was very welcome.

I’m trying to walk a bit further each day. 1291 steps seems pretty pathetic but it is an improvement each day. The pain is less (than before the surgery) while I’m walking but I’m not very stable or fast.
