Taking a Turn Around the Neighborhood

It wasn’t raining when we started out. Look, there is blue sky! We got about a half mile before everything changed, and we walked back a little faster than we began. Luckily we had our raincoats on. The sidewalks are covered in miscellaneous debris: leaves and twigs, little nuts, branches big and small. Puddles. Some running water in the gutters. Nothing too horrible. We do hear of trees down in other places, lots of people still without power, dangerous waves. There was a film clip of the sidewalk by our main beach—I thought it was covered in snow, but it was thick foam from the ocean, flying through the air like a blizzard and piling up on the road.
