Where do I begin...
On June 18th I announced I had gotten this adorable one year old kitten. I was so delight to get her. She was so sweet and Libby was so sweet with her (mainly ignoring her). Long story short and I am having a hard time sharing this story. After just 48 hours I realized she was still very much a kitten and way to active for me. I cried and cried and thought what am I going to do. This wasn't the fit for Libby and I had been dreaming about. I called the friend who had brought her to me and told her what I was feeling. You need to know this sweet kitty that I had named Lacy had come from a foster home. They already had 3 children, two dogs and several cats and had decided as much as they loved her they just didn't need another cat. When my friend told them I wasn't going to be keeping Lacy they jumped for joy at the chance to get her back. This time they were going to keep her and this would now become her "Forever Home.) Happy ending for them I was very sad.
That same day I was told that Scooter (the little kitten with the deformed hind legs had passed away). I was so down that day. I didn't even want to blip anything. Well here's the rest of the story. I went back once again to the Human Society and started looking at cats again. I went 4 days in a row and held and loved on at least 15 cats. I just couldn't feel right about any of them until...... along comes this Russian Blue male cat. I was sure I didn't what a male cat so really never considered this guy. Finally the shelter manager that had been working with me for days and listening to what I said I wanted suggested I look at this cat. My feelings in selecting a cat was that when I find the right one (as I did with Libby) we'd both know it and sort of adopt each other. Well when I held this guy I knew I'd found the right cat for Libby and I to share our home with. I got this little guy this afternoon about 1:30 and brought him home. I have named him Buddy. They tell you are the shelter the things to do to get your cats to adjust to their new home and the other cat. They say it could actually take several weeks. They suggest keeping them in separate rooms for a few days or more. Well this is so amazing. Buddy walked around the house for about 30 minutes, jumped up and sat down on the recliner with me. He has acted all the rest of the day as if he'd lived here forever. I guess he knows this is his "Forever Home". Buddy has turned out to be a very photogenic cat to blip. He is going to be so easy to take blips of. Soon I hope to have one of he and Libby together. So I guess you'd say that's the rest of the story. Now it's a happy ending on both ends.
