Napier

At 10:47am on the 3rd February 1931 New Zealand suffered its worst earthquake.  The quake was centred around the towns of Napier, Hastings and Wairau with 256 people killed and many injured.  Napier township was mostly destroyed.  Out of this natural disaster arose the town we are staying in today.  The town was built in the style of the day ' Art Deco' and those buildings built then are still there, celebrated in all their glory.

Just a short note about what's going on with my blip,  l have had a few issues with my new tablet, the main one being l could not get the tablet & camera talking to each other and have not been able to transfer any photos, this was rectified last night so that is up and running now.  Much worse really is that my calendar is all  messed up with dates moved about, flights, motel bookings etc  aaargh.  Atleast l now know its wrong and can set about sorting out.
