Still wet

Bertie and I had to keep to the high “road” this afternoon when we found that the lower path was under water as we walked down the wee glen. I wasn’t surprised really as the rain has been fairly constant for the past twenty hours. 
In the morning we had a Community Orchard meeting at a friend’s house on the edge of the village and as I crossed the bridge and causeway in the morning I saw how high the water was. I was keeping my fingers crossed that the tide in the loch was on its way out so that the water wouldn’t flood the road. However, two hours later the water level was even higher so I thought it prudent to beat a hasty retreat homeward before I got stranded on the wrong side of the loch.
