A pigeon in an apple tree

The two wood pigeons that used roost in a tree near the side of the house have now taken to resting in the crab apple tree in the front garden.  They do enjoy their lie-ins too!  The pair are still only just waking up by 9.30 am!  Later than me.

E and I went to tea with F.  She really did us proud by making sandwiches, fennel shortbread and a coffee and walnut sponge cake!
In the evening four of us went to a quiz night in a neighbouring village run by the Rotary.  The questions were really difficult and we came joint last this time - fallen from glory!  Instead of wooden spoons we were given tubes of Smarties!  A good sum of money was raised for charity.
