A creature (think it’s a mouse) watched us as we walked up through Whinlatter Forest to find the Gruffalo.  Beside  the Gruffalo a new picnic area has been made since I was last there. 

Many trails were closed because of fallen trees and forestry operations. A few trees had fallen onto the Go Ape treetop course too.  Lots of barriers and signs, some saying ‘Stop. Danger of death’.

On the way down we saw a red squirrel, I think it’s the the closest I’ve ever been to one.
