Myrtle Brown

We had dinner and listened to great soul and blues tunes by Myrtle Brown and her band at the Canary bar. (Brown is one of the vocalists with Eric's swing band.)
I'd worked in the rental's front yard for much of the day, aiming to fill the yard debris bucket, and pretty much did. Then I took a long bath and put on my version of jammies by 6 when Eric got home from a band practice and reminded me that Myrtle plays at the Canary every first Sunday. Just what I hate: changing clothes and staying out late. So I pouted for awhile then called the Bar to find out when the music started, but I couldn't hear the guy - because the band was already playing! So I got dressed and off we went. Really good music and it starts at 6 p.m.! Isn't that just the best for old duffers! Anyone want to meet there on 3/03/24?!
