Ferry

Boarded 12:30 at Wellington, ferry over the Cook Strait to Picton in the South Island. Quite rightly described as one of the most scenic crossings - on a blue sky day like today it was stunning. 

From Picton, a 2 hour drive to Kaikoura - through the vineyards near Blenheim to the mountains and turquoise sea approaching Kaikoura, it was a lovely journey.
