The Local

The weather is very dreich just now and quite a few folk are feeling a bit “down” as a result. I sympathise but I am quite happy to get on with indoor jobs as I have more than enough to keep me occupied. If the weather improved I would be torn between certain pressing tasks inside and things to be done in the garden. Today there was an evening outing to look forward to. Six of us were booked into the Bellachroy for an evening meal so there was no meal planning, cooking, or washing up to think about, a real treat. And the menu was a real treat as well, giving me too many choices. Eventually, I opted for the roast onion soup with cheese crouton, followed by Goan curry, and I managed to squeeze in Eton Mess with strawberries and redcurrants. Delicious!
