Floating our Boat

Awful wet and gloomy weather (and that’s before l mention the wind )so Elaine and l were glad that earlier in the week l had booked for us to go to the cinema in Ilkley.
Bus there and back which meant we could share a bottle of Côte Rose and a vegetarian plater : olives , pitta, roast almonds, vegetable quiche , cheeses and falafel.
So full we have abandoned the idea of eating anything else this evening.
We saw The Boys in the Boat , think Chariots of Fire but rowing. A gentle film that won’t win any awards but it was good to see . We both laughed when it ended because we both felt we had rowed every stroke :-))
