Sanary-sur-Mer

Today we planned to walk along the 'Sentier du Littoral' which is a coastal path of about 12 kms along the cliffs of the Calanques, but unfortunately there were very strong winds (known as Le Mistral) of about 34 kms per hour. So due to the height of some of the walk and the proximity of the edge of the cliffs we decided it would be wise to give it a miss.

Instead we walked into Bandol this morning and had a look round the shops, before stopping for a coffee. Despite the wind, it was lovely sat in the sun and I managed to log onto the wifi with my iPhone while Alan read his magazine. Unfortunately I wasn't able to catch up with all your journals, and with the sunlight it was difficult to see the screen, so I'm sorry that I'm still not able to comment - I miss reading what you're all up to!

This afternoon we drove along the coast to the town of Sanary-sur-Mer which is only about 10 minutes away. It's a lovely, traditional old town which has a small port, and fish market. There's also a very old tower which you can go up it, but sadly it's not open on Mondays - the view would make a great blip, so hopefully we'll go back later in the week. There are so many different kinds of boats, and today my blip is of the port with the town in the background.
