Small leaves

Last week my blip showed a broad leaf variety - currently I favour the look of the lush green leaves and white petals, the above look in need of protection.

From reading I now know there is range of snowdrops, with fanatics collecting different varieties looking for flowers of different sizes, markings, colour and number of petals. Snowdrops flower early not relying on pollinators, they spread by dividing the bulbs although an insect will visit on a warm day. I hadn’t thought to look to buy bulbs, could be interesting?

I hope to remember to split a few clumps this year, the information, (gained from many sites), says it is better to have a group of bulbs when replanting, they don’t like to grow as a single bulb. Also, as with daffodils let the leaf feed into to soil, don’t cut off too soon.
