Windows and blinds
We had a late night last night because MrMacD was out with the Community Patrol and didn’t get home until after midnight, so we slept in this morning.
After breakfast I made yoghurt and ground some coffee beans. MrMacD was fiddling around with various bits and pieces and also watching what was happening in his “man cave” downstairs. It’s finished now, but paint, vinyl and a new window are required. It’ll be a nice warm retreat for MrMacD.
After lunch MrMacD started putting up the blinds and I washed the windows. They’re now sparkling clean and the blinds look great.
We decided to walk down to the Victoria Lounge Bar for a drink, but J is away on summer holidays - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We think he probably needs longer. We walked along to the Brydone Hotel and enjoyed a drink there then walked further to the Bangkok Recipe Thai Restaurant and were surprised to find it packed out. They managed to squeeze us in and we had an excellent meal. Afterwards we enjoyed a walk home, did Quordle and then it was time for bed.
As we walked down our street on our way into town we saw this garland of roses on a bush in someone’s front garden, lit up by the sun. The extra is our shared dessert tonight, simply because I couldn’t resist trying it - coconut ice cream, black sticky rice and peanuts. It was actually rather nice and not too sweet.
