I'm in the North Sea
I'm inclined to say to anyone who wants to listen "If anyone is looking for me, I'm the one in the North Sea". A great swim this morning with some of the Shandwick Selkies. Quite a lot of swell and fairly robust waves, one of which bowled me over completely, but it really was not that cold. The sun was warm and the water not too bad at all. Most enjoyable (not least because the beach is gradually becoming less stony except at the very top), and definitely time to start using some of the extras. An important addition of self care to a day otherwise spent catching up with stuff and organising lists for the next few busy weeks.
This evening, we went across the road to have drinks with N and A, and of course the very barky Elmer. E was a bit noisy to start with - something had clearly set him off on his evening walk. But eventually he calmed down. Another lovely evening, where we discovered some common interests in relation to architecture in central and Eastern Europe as well as the challenges of highland depopulation.
