St Leonard's Church, Warkworth

There has been a church on this site since 738 first built by Ceolwulf who gave it to St Cuthbert. The present church is beautiful. I read that John Wesley preached here in 1761! Warkworth is a lovely little village with an imposing medieval castle. Dropped by en route to Alnmouth station where as it happens Will and Harry stopped off as they went to the big Alnwick wedding on Saturday!
