Bedraggled

This is what's left of one of the Japanese anemones, in a very bedraggled looking border. I didn't fit in a walk but when a little brightness came through the clouds towards lunchtime, I again looked for interesting details in the garden. I like the texture of the seed head, which I'm hoping will soon break open to reveal the fluff inside, and the warmth of the light in the background. I thought I had shared this days ago - it was supposed to be for Tiny Tuesday, and I'm sure I remember writing about it, so perhaps I was falling asleep and didn't click on "publish" before shutting down. It's not the first time.
