Blue Sky Tour To Stonehaven.
The weather forecasts promised blue skies over Scotland.
After breakfast, Pat and I decided to drive to Stonehaven to enjoy a fish supper for lunch and the boardwalk sculpture trail.
The sky remained blue however the journey was delayed by extensive road works. We never came to a halt. We just travelled at about 30 mph for nearly twenty miles on dual carriageway.
We arrived in Stonehaven and discovered that the fish restaurant was closed. Apparently there had been equipment malfunction in the kitchen.
Pat looked for alternative ‘chippies’ nearby, as we drove south along the coastal route, enjoying the scenery.
It soon became obvious that most ‘chippies’ are closed on Tuesday.
We arrived in Arbroath and enjoyed excellent fair at the Bell Rock restaurant.
All along the road, blue skies were in evidence.
