The everyday sadness

Not the horror in Israel on 7th October 2023.
Not the horror in Gaza since 8th October 2023. 
Not the horror of Ukrainian soldiers trapped in a steel plant in Mariupol.
Not the horror of a Ukrainian drone dropping an incendiary grenade through the open hatch of a Russian tank. 

Just everyday sadness. 

The tree was brought down by Isha. That was sad. 

But today... today... I noticed the dozens of pointless little blossoms sprouting from the dying branches of the moribund tree. The only tree in the estate with blossoms. The first blossoms of 2024. 

And that drop of everyday sadness really made me sad.
