Snuffling (Day 3188)

The day hasn't gone entirely to plan.
Something spooked Sigyn last night and she got herself into the sort of state usually reserved for volleys of fireworks. She spent the night panting and pacing about and kept me awake for most of the night.
I gave up trying to sleep much earlier than I had wanted to get up, and took her out for a longer than normal wander. She was fine on her walk, but spooked as soon as she got back in the house.
I got some stuff sorted out for later in the day, then tried not to fall asleep as I waited for  my beautiful wife to get ready to head off. I dropped HV at the airport and found Sigyn a little better when I got home.
I took her for another, longer than normal walk, before lunch and a dash to deal with the horses.
From the horses, I headed to a kitchen re-fit I am involved with. The plan had been to do the first fix plumbing, and I had expected to be finished off in an hour or so. Unfortunately the joiners had made things difficult for me by fitting the kitchen before I could run the pipework in. I spent far too long hanging upside down, balancing on a bit of stud work which will support a window sill, so I could access the existing waste and supply pipes and connect to them. Feeding the pipework under the kitchen units was just a fabulous delight. It is called first fix plumbing for a reason - it gets done first, before it is next to impossible to do because of all the units in the way.
The job took four and a half hours, and I had to scrap plans to get to another customer.
I was glad to be back home and found Sigyn better again. Fingers crossed for a peaceful night...
