Western

It seems a long while since we had one of our regular lunches with dear friends M & C. Today they picked us up and on a bright sunny morning we drove up Box Hill with its beautiful views. On the road at the top of the hill is Smith and Western, an American style restaurant. We went there a few years ago for George’ s birthday and with its menu of ribs and burgers, a decor reminiscent of a Western gaol and music that sounds like a line dancing session it was just right for youngsters. We took a chance taking our elderly friends, but they loved it! The portions were huge but so tasty. The waitress in her Stetson was very attentive and it was all together a good experience. A far cry from our usual country pub, but we enjoyed ourselves very much. We will be back.
