Middleton Woods
Another glorious sunrise, which immediately disappeared.
After our usual early visit to the fish van, we drove over to Middleton, Leeds to meet up with the Pudseys for today’s walk.
Fortunately yesterday’s freezing wind had dropped. Although dull and no sun it felt quite mild which was good for walking.
MrC carried everything in his rucksack so no lifting or pressure on my eye.
It did feel a lot lighter after we stopped for lunch by the end of Middleton Railway.
Tomato and Basil soup, beef and pickled onion sandwiches, crisps, fruit cake and coffee.
Three course picnic!
Unfortunately no trains running at the moment.
Then walked back through the woods, stopping by the lake, and met two lovely friendly St Bernards.
Nice to see the beautiful catkins.
Very enjoyable 7 mile walk.
Back for the usual cuppa, and a soak in a hot bath.
I know I will sleep well tonight.
