The end of the line
We were close to Sheringham this afternoon so parked by the station and had a walk down to the sea front and along the Prom to the lifeboat station and back. Cold, but not too windy so it was quite pleasant to be out. It was really noticeable that the tourist businesses were starting to gear themselves up for the new season; several shops, an amusement arcade, an ice cream parlour and a pub were all being spruced up and repainted, both inside and out. No doubt they want to be ready for the half term holidays in February.
This is Sheringham East signal box which stands at the end of the North Norfolk Railway line next to the level crossing which connects it to the national network. I think it has probably had a recent coat of paint itself! I had a half-hearted attempt at getting rid of the bench at the front of the shot (in processing, not physically). No doubt Photoshop would do it but the free program, Snapseed, whilst good at a lot of things was not up to the task.
