'Highland' Games

Day two of the conference and I was photographing the evening's social event at the EICC. The delegates were divided into eight teams, indicated by the coloured hats and took part in eight different activities - carpet curling, ring toss onto antlers, whisky tasting, tossing the 'caber' (small and foam, rather than large and wooden), 'haggis' shy (throwing small haggis shaped balls at whisky bottles boxes), ceilidh dancing (a Virginia Reel), shot putt (pictured, using a weighted ball) and playing the bagpipes. Some obviously genuine things and others gimmicky, to varying degrees.
