Panoramic View of St Salvador's City Center, Arta

I woke early this morning, I didn't know why .... then I realised something wasn't the same .... THERE WAS NO SUN!!! It was dark, dreary and horror of horrors, spitting with rain.

The decision was made to drive to Arta which is in the centre of a wide valley at the foot of hills. Thankfully Arta hasn't received the direct impact of mass tourism and has maintained its age-old traditions, hospitality and vitality typical of Mediterranean people.

We walked for hours through the narrow streets before climbing the steep hill to Torre Major from where the most beautiful views are seen. (This is where today's blip was taken).

Thankfully the rain stopped quickly and the temperature has risen to 24 degrees so it's still a beautiful day, if a bit cloudy - we can cope with that!!!
