Beauty
they say is in the eye of the beholder but I would challenge anyone not to find many of the buildings here beautiful. From museums to churches to regular apartment blocks there really are some fantastic structures many of which I suspect are more beautiful on the outside than they really are on the inside.
This is the view left from our balcony. At the end of our little street is Bolshaya Nikitskaya which leads up from the Maneje and Alexandrovsky Sad (the Alexander gardens in front of the Kremlin) to Ploschad Nikitskaya Vorota (Nikitskaya Square) where the Tass building I blipped on Friday stands. The building you can see is the geological museum of Moscow. To my mind the beautiful calm cream and light blue exterior belies the dark gloomy interior filled with stuffed dead animals!
