Batch cooking

Cooked up two huge veggie shephards pies today.  I made it up as I went along but it ended up really tasty.  Had to take my mum to hospital this morning.  She has had an ulcer on her tongue for weeks now that hasn't healed.  It isn't healing because it's next to a broken tooth and I am sure that is all it is, but the doctor wanted to do a biopsy to be certain. She is having the tooth fixed tomorrow.  Mum is very hard of hearing so I went in with her and watched the procedure to help explain to her what they were saying.  It was very interesting watching them do the local anaesthetic and then cut a little sample of her tongue and then stitch her up.  Mum was brave and I found it fascinating!
