Hidden extras.

So the plasterer was going to patch the ceiling and skim the breeze blocks.
But the ceiling wanted to come down, so Mr B helped it down and it was re-boarded.

The plasterer was going to blend the ceiling with the walls as is, but when the walls were so much as winked at they wanted to come down too, so Mr B pulled tickled the plaster off the walls and they are to be re-boarded.

I was beyond stressed when the news of this extra work was announced, will we EVER move?! Yet to be fair I'm glad it'll be done, it wouldn't have been fun once we were decorated and carpeted and all moved in. No, no it would have been hellish. Second plus point... less anaglypta!
