It was all quiet in the flat in the morning. G didn't go to school, which was the right thing to do. The Lavylites spray did its magic. Her symptoms from yesterday are much improved, and she walked quickly to the clinic for her 9:40 appointment with a general surgeon.
It turned out to be an incredible appointment. The doctor was a breast cancer specialist who knew G's surgeon and had done her specialist training in London. She is only in this clinic a couple of days a week, and she just happened to be there on the day that G needed her. What are the chances? She was interested in G's well-being, so G can now do follow-up visits locally.
We came home happy and confident, and G is now on antibiotics. Thankfully, it's one a day for six days.
The rest of the day was spent at my desk trying to finish as much as I could before my long weekend began. G rested.
These bags of cement have been dumped outside the flat opposite us. The work is being done by an external contractor rather than the building maintenance. Grrrr.
