This one is very topical as the XL Bully dogs have recently been banned in the U.K.  This followed a series of horrific attacks.   Originally the ban covered only England and Wales.   The Scottish Government delayed as they felt that the ban should be bassed on 'Deed not Breed', as it can at times be be difficult to identify the specific breed. 

However Scotland have now come into line, probably in part due to the fact that owners from other parts of the UK were starting to send their dogs to Scotland to avoid the ban!
