Big garden bird watch

Went for a run this morning.  We followed the route of the local 10k race.  Roads mainly. Saw a beautiful fox that had sadly not made it across the road last night.  
Did the garden bird watch before lunch.  As always it is a signal for all birds to hide and not take advantage of the well stocked bird feeders. No visit from the usual woodpecker but I did spot a couple of redwing and a male black cap.  A blue tit investigated the new bird box that s made last year.  
Lazy afternoon with crochet and the TV to myself.  I caught up on a couple of episodes of cal the midwife. More Nfl playoffs this evening.
