While he wasn’t looking, Mrs B landed on the branch next to Mr P. They obviously then had words, as they then turned their backs on each other in a hufff!

Observed this comical scene while doing my stint of Big Garden Birdwatching, final count listed below. Busy but productive day, seven hours on my feet on domestic goddess duty. What happened to quiet Sundays? I blame BG for giving us half price electricity on Sundays; I feel compelled to do as many loads of laundry as poss!

Sparrows 30 (probably more, they wouldn’t sit still)
Starlings 20 (same problem as Sparrows)
