One Woodpigeon
We did the Birdwatch this morning and it was all the usual suspects around. We have so many House Sparrows, it is impossible to count, so we make a guess. Same with Blue Tits. But the rest are just in ones or twos.
Then there is the Wood Pigeon. Ever since we have taken notice of birds there have always been two - a pair. I can't think that they are the same ones, although they do have a longer lifespan than most garden birds, but we have always had two. Last year sadly we found a dead pigeon on the patio - probably flew into the window. Ever since we have just had the one and it may be my imagination but it always looks forlorn. Perhaps another one might find its way into the garden soon.
Meanwhile here is one Woodpigeon.
