a detour home.....

I had to drive down to Ashburton early this afternoon. Instead of coming directly home I detoured up through Methven and home through the Rakaia Gorge. I was very surprised to encounter this much snow. I suppose if Mt Hutt has a base of 3 metres of snow!!!!!what I found is reasonable.
