Walking into da Rain

A wild morning of gales, rain at times, drier in the afternoon, calmer and rain tonight. 

Up early, and breakfast with the family.  When the rain cleared, me, mam and Anna headed our for a walk.  Lottie arrived home for work for lunch. In the afternoon we headed to the shops. I picked up new to me jigsaws from the charity shop.  Anna has a school Up Helly Aa squad meeting tonight, Julie and Ingram heading out, while me, mam and Lottie have a movie night. 

When the rains eased, we took a chance for a morning walk.  We aimed for a three mile walk, which started off fine.  Although it was windy, it was at least dry.  We made the halfway mark, by this stage the wind was on our backs for the rest of the walk.  It wasn't long until the rain started, we got soaked for the last leg, with torrential rain pouring down.  It was fine to get back, warm up and dry off.  Mam and Anna walking along before the rain, Beach Road, Haroldswick, Unst.
